INCLINE MAGAZINE: What inspired you to write your book?

WARREN: I wrote my first book Shaped For Greater Works because there are so many people who believe that they have to be perfect, have it all together, or be a certain way in order to be used by God. My journey says otherwise. I want people to know that regardless of where they started, what they have done, or what they have been through that God can still use them for the greater works that he predestined for them to carry out in this life. I want people to know that God does have a unique purpose and plan for their life. I believe that each of us were sent to earth as a seed. Each of us have been equipped with a tree on the inside of us that is meant to sprout so that the world can bear our fruit. I wrote Shaped For Greater works so that people can discover their fruit through the experiences that God allows us to go through. In everything we do and every experience we have, we are being shaped by the hand of God. Isaiah 64:8 (NLT) “Yet you, LORD, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.” This journey is a testament of how God has to first shape us so that we can fulfill the greater works that He calls us to.

My first book, Shaped For Greater Works is an Introspective look into the Life of my Journey of Self Discovery of who God always intended me to be. This Book gives a Dissecting look at How God Shapes & Guides us All along life's Path to Discover and use our Gifts to Serve the Lord's Purpose. My transition to being committed to a life for Christ did not happen overnight, nor was I spoon-fed the Gospel. In my case, it was a process that first broke, then shaped, and finally molded me into the young man I am today. I was not told to be this way by anyone. Instead I was shaped this way because I am a product of God’s hands. This book is meant to be heart felt, motivating, and to help people realize that we don't always have to appear perfect in order for God to still use us for his works. When I wrote this book I made a conscious decision to reveal my vulnerability, imperfections, and how I’ve passed test yet failed many, because that’s what people are able to relate to and understand. I want my readers to know that God used each of these experiences to shape me for the works that I fulfill today. And if God can do this for my life, then he can do it in theirs.

That is why I know this journey is for both the unchurched and the churched. It is meant to touch those who have a relationship with God and those who do not. Regardless of who you are, what you have been through, what you have done, or what has been done to you, this journey can be for you. Even if you do not know God, you can know Him a bit more after following me on my journey. If you are frustrated with God, you can learn to understand His ways. If you gave up on God at some point in your life, somewhere on this journey you can come to understand that He did not give up on you. I am inviting others to walk with me as I follow God. As God shaped me in this journey, they will learn how He is shaping them as well.

INCLINE MAGAZINE: What have you accomplished that you are most proud of today and why?

WARREN: What I have accomplished that I am most proud of is that I am a fearless, bold, unashamed, and unapologetic servant of the Lord. At the age of 16 is when I noticed God’s calling on my life and at the age of 18 is when I accepted it and became a licensed minister. Being a young man of God and an advocate for Jesus Christ is not easy in this generation. Neither is it popular or glorified. Living for God is not a trend for me; it is a lifestyle and a way of life. I unapologetically pride myself in letting God’s light shine through me everywhere I go and in everything I do. My greatest accomplishment is not all of the positions I’ve been elected in, nor the platforms that God has allowed me to speak on. I believe my greatest accomplishment are the souls that I am inspiring, influencing, and gathering to live for the Kingdom of God. In my eyes, nothing really matters to me besides hearing the Lord say, “Job well done my good and faithful servant.”

INCLINE MAGAZINE: What can we expect to see from you within the remainder of 2019 going into 2020.

WARREN: I believe that many lives will be transformed and changed for the better for the remainder of 2019 and going into 2020. I believe that my book Shaped For Greater works is meant to be transformative in the lives of many people. I’ve put my all into this book and have also made great sacrifice. After I wrote Shaped For Greater Works, I had two options to either use my financials to publish my first book or purchase my first car as a graduating senior in college. I chose to publish my first book because I knew the harvest would be plentiful for the souls. In fact, after I finished writing Shaped For Greater Works, I made a promise to myself that many people will be impacted by my book. For the remainder of 2019 and in 2020 expect for the seeds that God has made possible for me to plant to manifest and blossom in the lives of other people. Shaped For Greater Works is serving God’s purpose.
