2020 Devotional Vlog Day 1: https://youtu.be/JQpzyubC1wc Day 1: Believe in God

“Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.” - 2 Chronicles 20:20 NKJV

The scripture instructs us to believe in the Lord our God so that our faith may have a firm foundation. Faith can be difficult to secure at times due to the fact that what we are believing God to do seems improbable in our present condition. There are two things to unpack in the statement “the Lord your God”. Lord speaks to allowing the Father to have legal authority over your life, soul, and circumstances. God speaks to the Father having limitless power and glory to do whatever He must to set things in order according to His will. You have made the fear, frustration, and failure your god for long enough. You have tried your own way for too long. Surrender every mountain, storm, and burden unto God, move yourself out of the way, and give Him full power and authority to eradicate every obstacle that stands between your vision and your victory!

Day 2: Believe in His Prophets

Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.” - 2 Chronicles 20:20 NKJV

God is so invested into your life that He will send multiple people, signs, and dreams to ensure you on where you should go, when you should step out on faith, and who you should connect to or disconnect from for the sake of your salvation and destiny. Even though the scripture says specifically believe in His prophets, the truth is there may not always be a prophet around to give you a specific word from God. God can use some unlikely ways to communicate to you what He is getting ready to release in your life. I know for myself that God would minister to me though even tv shows, video games, movies, and day to day interactions with nature and society to get my attention, especially if a certain phrase or topic is brought up multiple times in different places. As you seek Him, He will definitely place His desires for you on your heart so that if you are ever encountered by a genuine prophetic vessel, the words that they speak will confirm thoughts and impressions from the Lord that you had on your mind and in your dreams. Ask the Lord for clarity and multiple confirmations of His plans for you and be attentive. Like a harmonious three part choir, He sings the same song over you in various ways!

Day 3: Believe in Yourself

“Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.” - 2 Chronicles 20:20 NKJV

When God speaks, He knows what we are capable of accomplishing through Him even when we are not aware of our untapped potential. The Lord never just speaks to our present reality, but to the fully realized identity in Christ that we have yet to obtain. In addition, because intercessors, ministers, and prophets carry the heart of God, they too may have a strong, unwavering belief in the very things that the Lord led them to speak over your life. God may believe in you, His prophets may believe in you, but many of those prophecies and visions can be hindered or even cancelled entirely until and unless you believe in yourself! When God speaks, it is not for you to always be completely immobile and stagnant. More times than not, His word will require divine risks of faith on your part. You may start off uncertain and doubtful, but as you continue to walk out the word that has been spoken over you, your faith and confidence should increase! God is not a liar, but you can still be a victim of lying to yourself and talking yourself out of victory. May the Lord continue to open your eyes and show you how much of an investment you are to Him!
